New Riddings Brook footbridge.

The River Severn peaked at under 4m, the river reached just above the new footbridge with 3 inches clearance. This will mean that with Riddings Brook behaving ( no sudden downpours ) that anything much over 4m will render the new bridge underwater as the access is lower than the bridge itself.

High School finally has its new footbridge installed to enable the safe crossing of Riddings Brook to the Bewdley Leisure Centre. The powers that be are currently investigating 'improvements' to the blue sand bags, which the local heros are 're-arranging' in a detrimental manner. What ever solution, if its not fixed, nailed or floats we can assume it will not be around for long.

Otter spraints ( Otter poo ! ) had been left close to Stourport Road prior too the construction of the bridge, with no calling cards since, I think it can be concluded that Otters have taste and also find blue sand bags evil on the eye, hopefully they will return.
